On Friday we watched a film about the history of film. I thought it was a cool movie and I especially liked how they showed how the first film was made through a series of moving pictures.
I also liked how it showed war scenes from movies and then told you the whole back story on the director and how they made clam beach into a war zone.
I also liked how they talked about someone from 'Hugo'. It's really cool to see someone you recognize from a different movie. That way you know you are learning people from the industry and their backstory.
Overall, I really enjoyed this movie and I would like to watch the rest of it soon.

"Between the Folds" -origami video
"Between the Folds" was a very interesting video. It was extremely creative and amazing to think about how long it takes to get just one origami done. The pictures were very cool but my favorite was either the bear series or the blowing origami. It was so fascinating to hear all of the sounds you can make by crumpling paper. The thought never occurred to me that origami was related to math.
On the downside, I didn't like the narrator. I thought she was trying to hard to sound artsy and smart but came out sounding whiny. However, overall "between the folds" was an interesting video.
I learned a few forms of origami.
•blowing origami- making sound through shapes, crumbled paper, "through chaos comes beauty"
•one fold- complex yet interesting, Picasso-ish (one fold= one color)
